Despite Riots, Democrats Continue Masking To Topple Trump

By Cathi Chamberlain

Let’s not forget during the current wave of riots and looting that Democrat states are still mostly shut down and they are trying to convince Americans that we are killing fellow countrymen by not wearing face masks to stop the spread of the pandemic. Yes, the Wuhan virus can be deadly. No question many people have died from it. Absolutely there are precautions we should all be taking. But, is the real motive something more than saving lives?

If you’ve been paying attention to what’s been happening over the past four years, you know we’ve been lied to repeatedly. Not simple little white lies. Astronomically devious, evil lies meant to destroy the very fabric of our freedom-loving country. You wouldn’t know that, however, if you’ve been listening to the “fake news” media. That’s the same media from which you say you just want to get a “second opinion.”

Within weeks of President Trump’s inauguration, some of his most loyal servants were systematically and successfully taken down, one by one. DOJ Director Jeff Sessions bowed to demands for his recusal. General Mike Flynn’s stellar 33-year military career and his life were destroyed based on planted evidence that we now know never existed. American Patriot Carter Page was spied on and his life pretty well ruined. George Papadopoulos was jailed for a crime not even associated with the Russia witch-hunt. Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, Michael Cohen and so many others were targeted and destroyed. All because they supported President Donald J. Trump.

The left told you the Trump-Russia collusion investigation was based on “evidence”. LIARS.

Democrats tried to convince you that Brett Kavanaugh was a sexual deviant. LIARS.

They said Trump was guilty of bribery in his Ukraine phone call. LIARS.

Democrats said he was targeted for accusations worthy of impeachment. LIARS.

The abundance of lies was there for all to see. Instead, many preferred to listen to the “fake news” media so they could get a “second opinion.” As though liars matter.

Due to that enabling of the anti-Trump media who’ve made no secret of their bias against our President, the lies have perpetuated. No longer are we a nation built on common sense.

When all else failed, the left found yet another “crisis” they didn’t want to go to waste, the Wuhan virus.

America’s initial, fanatically-fearful response to the pandemic was understandable given the very rational concept of “flattening the curve.” Even that, if you think about it, can be blamed on our own pathetic lack of preparedness. Our PPE stockpiles were low, a shortage of ventilators was worrisome, hospitals were too few and ill-equipped, testing by the CDC was an abject failure. In short, we were staring down a double-barreled catastrophe if we didn’t act quickly and decisively. There was simply no time to waste arguing about what had to be done: a total shutdown of our economy combined with self-isolation, stringent regulations, and masks on all.

We complied without asking questions because it made sense. We saw a dizzying array of models that scared the crap out of us. The number of deaths, projected to be 2.2 million, was unfathomable. Transmission of the virus was frighteningly easy, we were told. Imminent, they said, unless we followed their strict orders. Stay six feet away. Three aisles over.  Scrub our clothing. Wipe down goods. No masks necessary, at first. Then masks were required on everyone. We lived in total fear. And that made us easy to control.

Like Rod’s new Youtube channel

Then a rather peculiar thing happened. Trump and the American people began seeing some serious flaws in the advice of the “experts.” The models turned out to be grossly inaccurate, not even close to the actual numbers. Recommendations by the fed’s scientific community changed almost daily. Rumors that those “experts” were controlled by anti-Trump leftists became believable as many of us googled for truth. Could they simply be trying to take Trump down, again?

To be honest about the pandemic we must assess real numbers, not models skewed by leftists with an agenda. After all, these numbers are guiding life-altering decisions about whether or not to shut down our economy, right?

Lindsey Graham seems to think so. Or at least that’s what he said recently in response to the WHO’s disastrous handling of the pandemic. As a Republican who sits on the Senate Appropriations Committee, Graham’s influence matters.

Recently, he left no doubt as to who he thought should be running things at the W.H.O. “I have a lot of respect for Bill Gates and his work in the public health arena,” he said. “The Gates Foundation, under Bill and Melinda’s leadership, has a reputation for investing in programs which are well-run and produce results.” Seriously, Lindsey?

As stated in my recent article entitled, “Same Globalists Who Bungled Pandemic Pushing to Control the World”, the prediction models insisted upon by Drs. Fauci and Birx were way off. They were based on data from the IMHE (Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation) and Imperial College of London. That article is a must read to understand who is involved in corruption around the handling of this pandemic. And, somebody might want to tell Lindsey that the Gates Foundation “recently provided massive amounts of funding to both” of the companies behind the models. In fact, he founded the IHME. Was that purely by chance?

Isn’t it rather coincidental that both Gates-funded models caused massive shutdowns worldwide due to erroneous results? Whether it was by gross negligence or intentionally misinforming, choosing Bill Gates as the new head of the CDC would be an unmitigated disaster.

Gates has also advocated heavily against hydroxychloroquine and for keeping the world shut down until there’s a vaccine. That’s not surprising given his funding of a global vaccination program to be disseminated in conjunction with his ID2020 Alliance program designed to track every citizen’s movement at all times. The consequences of a WHO led by Bill Gates is especially worrisome considering his far-from stellar record on global vaccines.

The widely-wrong Gates’ models are all the more suspect after reading an article that appeared in Forbes recently. If true, it throws doubt on the entire numbers game attributed to the pandemic.

Entitled, “The Most Important Coronavirus Statistic: 42% Of U.S. Deaths Are From 0.6% Of The Population,” the author claims that nearly half of all deaths from the pandemic in America occurred because of bad state-wide decisions. He says nursing home and residential care facility policies are to blame. If right, that changes everything.

According to the author, he and a Public Policy Professional/Health Care Policy Expert at The Foundation for Research on Equal Opportunity conducted a study to determine how many deaths were caused by faulty decision-making. They reveal their calculations in an online spreadsheet that’s easy to read. Based on nearly criminal directives from the governors of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, among others, the high rate of deaths due to the Wuhan virus could have been avoided.

Having just surpassed 100,000 deaths in America, the study is worth reviewing. The authors claim that 42% of the total deaths in America by the Wuhan virus can be attributed to wrong-headed decisions regarding long-term care facilities. Specifically, those governors ordered nursing homes to admit COVID patients into their facilities. Had better precautions been taken, the real number of COVID deaths would reflect about 58,000. That’s more in line with a bad case of flu!

“An estimated 80,000 Americans died of flu and its complications” from 2017-2018, according to the CDC. It’s hard to imagine such a high number that so few of us paid attention to at the time. But, we barely noticed. Nor was there ever mention of shutting our country down.

From 1957-1958, the Asian flu killed “1.1 million worldwide and 116,000 in the United States.” But, according to one eye witness account, America didn’t shut down. The National Football League played on and the economy continued to function. “As Rhode Island doctor and author Andrew Bostom notes, the federal Centers for Disease Control now say that the infection fatality ratio of COVID-19 is 0.27 percent, almost equal to the 0.26 percent of the 1957-1958 Asian flu.”

During the 1968 Hong Kong flu, the “estimated number of deaths was 1 million worldwide and about 100,000 in the United States. Most excess deaths were in people 65 years and older.” Still, as the New York Post reports: “schools were not shut down. Face masks weren’t required or even common. Though Woodstock was not held during the peak months of the H3N2 pandemic (the first wave ended by early March 1969, and it didn’t flare up again until November of that year), the festival went ahead when the virus was still active and had no known cure.

“Life continued as normal,” said Jeffrey Tucker, the editorial director for the American Institute for Economic Research. “But as with now, no one knew for certain how deadly [the pandemic] would turn out to be. Regardless, people went on with their lives.”

As more people come to understand the truth about the Wuhan virus, a rush to reopen states will be inevitable. We are already, thankfully, seeing that. But, there is one big obstacle: the Democratic Party. Only Republican states seem willing to get our country back on track. States governed by the Democrats are pushing back, creating fear about a second wave. We must wait for a vaccine, they warn. Even if it means a total destruction of our economy. Are they even credible anymore?

While every American should want what’s best for our country, the truth is that a recovery will undoubtedly benefit Trump to Biden’s detriment. After all attempts to topple the President over the past three years have failed, could the Democrats stoop so low to purposely damage the economy as a final attempt to take him out? You bet they could, and already are.

According to the left’s idol and father of community organizing Saul Alinsky, their goal must be achieved by any means necessary. We should take them at their word.

In his 70s blockbuster book Rules for Radicals, Alinsky outlines thirteen tactics to be used by the left to achieve their goals. I break them down in my book, Rules for Deplorables: A Primer for Fighting Radical Socialism. Tactic #6, “a good tactic is one your people enjoy,” has come into play recently with some pretty wacky rules to which Democrat leaders have subjected their citizens.

In California, for example, officials “closed a popular skate park and filled it with 37 tons of sand in hopes of keeping residents away.” I know how liberals think, I used to be one. I’m sure they sat in their cushy offices thinking this was a wily, hilarious way to control their citizens. It backfired, thankfully, when kids began using it to ride their dirt bikes. Way to fight back using Alinsky’s Tactic #12, “the price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.” Kudos to those who refused to be controlled by politically-motivated leaders.

Think about this: AA meetings cannot convene but liquor stores are allowed to remain open.

What logic closes churches but leaves abortion clinics operating? Why can people run along beaches but can’t sunbathe or surf? Or Mom and Pop shops selling everyday needs have to close while Walmart can stay open? How come a family of four must stay isolated in their home but can’t go out boating together? There comes a time that we must stand up and say enough, this is nonsense.

How is it that a decision-making health administrator from Pennsylvania can move her 95-year-old mother from a nursing home while ordering everyone else’s elderly relatives to stay put? Or, the husband of the governor of Michigan can request special treatment to launch his boat while everyone else must stay out of the water? What about the “fake news” media reporter chastising passersby for not wearing masks as a bystander points out the cameraman isn’t wearing one himself?

We have been “masked” into submission, America. And, it’s being politicized. From the facts slowly emerging, it’s becoming questionable whether masks even help. In checking the CDC’s website, they’re instructing this: “If you are NOT sick: You do not need to wear a facemask unless you are caring for someone who is sick (and they are not able to wear a facemask).” Are you confused yet?

I’ve seen enough. Yes, I’ll continue to carry my mask should a need arise. But, I’ll be using my own judgment going forward. Those who feel wearing one is needed based on their own health concerns should continue to do so without mask-shaming. But for Democrats who think getting Trump out of office is more important than salvaging what’s left of our economy, I have a message for you: you will fail yet again.

Our country will reopen soon because the left has forgotten one of Alinsky’s most important tactics, #7: “a tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.” Americans do not stay still for long and never admit defeat.

When that happens, we will remember the stark contrast between Trump and Biden in dealing with this disaster. Leadership differences between the two men have been laid bare and will reflect decisive voting in November.

We will wake up to the left’s games and revolt by reopening our states en masse. When we do, red states will be standing strong, and those blue states wanting bailouts will be left in shambles.

Democrats “Alinsky” Their Own To Save Biden From Jail

By Cathi Chamberlain

The big question leading up to the 2020 elections is who will be the tougher challenger for President Trump, Biden or Bernie? Democrats are deeply divided. That’s a good thing.

Bernie Sanders’ message has a strong following, particularly among younger voters. For a generation, our universities have been teaching them a romanticized view of his socialism. Bernie’s ouster from the electoral process in 2016 to facilitate Hillary Clinton’s rise caused a major disruption in their party’s unity. Feelings of betrayal are still raw today. Should the Democratic establishment repeat that strategy in 2020, the party might not recover.

Yet, that’s exactly what they orchestrated when Amy Klobuchar and Pete Buttigieg inexplicably pulled out of the race just before Super Tuesday. That gave Biden a distinct advantage.

Voters who reject Bernie’s socialist agenda may feel compelled to vote for Joe Biden, the gaffe-ridden version of his former self. What they are fighting to forestall is that Biden’s past — and that of Hillary Clinton and many Democrats — is about to come roaring back just in time for November.

Trump supporters are torn between which challenger would be the President’s least harmful. On the one hand, Bernie would force a much-needed national debate about the stark differences between capitalism and socialism. This is their chance to knock socialism on its butt once and for all.

But what if the unthinkable happens and Bernie wins? If you think that’s not possible, you haven’t been paying attention to the very real possibility of massive voter fraud. And, I’m not talking about at the ballot box.

Extensive research was done by forensic internet scientist Robert Epstein, a self-described Hillary supporter who, out of alarm for the very viability of our country, begged to testify before Congress recently. He makes the case that Google has mechanisms in place to swing 10-15 million votes without anyone even knowing it. Check out his website at www.mygoogleresearch.com for more information. The implications are staggering.

On the other hand, many Trump supporters believe Biden would be the easiest to beat. To them he’s the better option, even if voter fraud handed him the office. At least, socialism will have been averted.

What most Americans fail to realize, however, is that a GOP loss in 2020, no matter which Democrat could win, would be the end of democracy as we know it. The reason is simple. Our rule of law would be forever gone. Our country would be unable to recover for at least a generation, if ever. Republicans would never be “allowed” to win another election because the Democrats would “own” election rules.

For decades the left has been able to get away with concealing the most egregious criminal conduct of its leaders. They’ve succeeded because the media ignores Democrat malfeasance and no one in either political party has stood up for truth. Until now.

Trump’s first three years in office were hand-cuffed because of the left’s Alinsky-styled, well-oiled machinery put in place over a generation ago. The plot to transform our country to socialism has its beginnings in Cloward-Piven strategies fueled by Saul Alinsky’s 13 tactics as outlined in his 1970s blockbuster book, Rules for Radicals.

Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, sociology professors in the 60s, wrote a series of papers designed, literally, to overthrow our government. The left has been furthering those strategies, in complicity with Democrats, by using the Alinsky tactics. That America has a 78 year-old, white, self-described socialist (truthfully, a Marxist) vying for the top spot on the Presidential ticket in 2020 is proof positive that their plot has been working. Every American should be alarmed by that regardless of party.

If 2016 is any indication, Bernie is about to be sidelined once again by his own party. If that happens, the Democrats will be in complete disarray. Many are predicting violent revolt. The chaos will be hard to control. A majority of disillusioned Democratic voters will stay home. Other Bernie votes will go to Trump, as occurred in 2016. Should that happen, how will Biden fare?

Already the Trump campaign team is portraying Biden as a leftist, just to the right of Bernie. In a sense, that’s true. While Biden himself might not be a leftist, he’s become their puppet in an effort to save his own skin.

Trump and his team will work to deepen the divide in the Democratic Party between moderates and socialists. Just one day after Super Tuesday, Trump already began using Alinsky Tactic #4 against them: “Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.”

In a series of tweets following the results of Super Tuesday, Trump taunted establishment Democrats. Because they constantly emphasize unity in all things political, Trump understands that to win he must do everything he can to cause a schism in their party. It’s what they’ve done to him since he was elected. Now, it’s his turn. If Republicans are smart, they’ll follow his lead. Trump’s tweets always have a targeted agenda.

The President tweeted: “The Democrat establishment came together and crushed Bernie Sanders, AGAIN! Even the fact that Elizabeth Warren stayed in the race was devastating to Bernie and allowed Sleepy Joe to unthinkably win Massachusetts. It was a perfect storm, with many good states remaining for Joe!

Trump’s intention is to create chaos and apathy in a party that has quite successfully already damaged itself by allowing socialists to infiltrate for decades. Now that the genie is out of the bottle, one of two things will happen. The party will either succumb to socialists; or, the division will split their power in two.

The elites in the Democratic Party understand the danger all too well. Even former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid came out of retirement to weigh in. Just before Super Tuesday, he predicted that the Party could be saved “only if Democrats unite behind the leader best equipped to defeat Trump and secure Democratic majorities in Congress. We must embrace a candidate who can stabilize our institutions, provide a positive road map for the future and soothe the nation’s trauma after four years of this president.” In other words, butt out Bernie.

It’s likely that Biden will emerge victorious, albeit bloodied up a bit. When he does, he has the real fight of his life on his hands. This one likely the very reason he entered the race in the first place.

Never in history has a presidential candidate faced as many criminal allegations as does Joe Biden today. As his gaffes continue to mount, serious charges of corruption against him ought to be the American voter’s bigger focus. Once again the mainstream “fake news” media, complicit with their Democratic partners, think that hiding truth from the public will, in the long run, strengthen their position. They could not be more wrong.

Little public attention is being drawn to the allegations behind the Ukraine scandal involving Biden and his son Hunter. It’s about to be blown wide open. When it does, those with Trump Derangement Syndrome will feel betrayed far worse than they did after the election of 2016.

Former Ukrainian chief prosecutor Viktor Shokin has been quietly gaining retribution against Biden for years. According to respected investigative journalist John Solomon, Shokin “has long alleged he was fired because he would not stop investigating the Burisma Holdings firm that employed Hunter Biden….” Those efforts have recently started paying off.

Last month the highest court in Ukraine ruled that “Shokin’s lawyers had provided sufficient evidence to warrant a probe and ‘obliged the authorized officials’ …  to accept the ex-prosecutor’s complaint and ‘start pre-trial investigation of the reported data….’” It’s going to get ugly for the Bidens.

Trump detractors will continue accusing the President of using his office for political gain against his opponent. But once the mounting evidence is exposed, another possibility will emerge. Joe Biden is in a fight for his life. And, running for the highest office in the world has nothing to do with We the People.

That the Democrats have, once again, allowed so tainted a candidate to run for President is no mere coincidence. It is an attempt to cover up far worse behavior by others than just the Bidens in Ukraine.

In 2016 Hillary and company were confident she would win the presidency and that all criminal activity would be buried forever. This time, their nightmare is ever more real: Donald J. Trump in the White House for four more years.

Thanks to the painstaking years’ long investigations by Judicial Watch, Hillary’s email server cover-up is also finally getting a re-examination. She has been called to testify, again. This time she must do so in person and without the protections of Comey. According to Town Hall: “Clinton has argued that she has already answered questions about this and should not have to do so again, but D.C. District Court Judge Royce C. Lamberth said in his [recent] ruling that her past responses left much to be desired.”

Lamberth emphasized that “those responses were either incomplete, unhelpful, or cursory at best. Simply put, her responses left many more questions than answers.”

The D.C. District Court has called two additional witnesses to testify, as well. Hillary’s former chief of staff, Cheryl Mills and Paul Combetta, Hillary’s IT specialist who was responsible for the intentional physical destruction of Clinton’s emails.

In my book, Rules for Deplorables: A Primer for Fighting Radical Socialism (RFD), I spent several pages outlining the cover-up of Hillary’s email destruction. You can bet Judicial Watch has dug up a whole lot more in the year and a half since.

Sydney Powell, the former federal prosecutor now defending Gen. Michael Flynn, told the Daily Caller: “‘The Weiner laptop almost certainly contains the answers to the public’s questions about all things Clinton – her scandals, the Clinton Foundation pay-to-play, obstruction of justice and also possible espionage act violations.” Comey’s handling of Hillary’s destroyed emails was a cover-up, plain and simple.” (RFD, pg. 183)

And this is the real reason there’s so much pressure on Bernie to get out of the race. Joe Biden has real skin in the game. As do all the wicked establishment figures involved – Democrats and Republicans alike. With Biden in place, his, Hillary’s and many other so-called leaders’ crimes will be forever buried.

But, don’t think for a moment that removing Bernie Sanders will ensure our country is safe from socialism. That will only be a short-term reprieve. The left is in full control of the Democratic Party. They realize that the majority of Americans aren’t quite ready for full-blown socialism yet. Biden is not their best chance at toppling Trump, but he is their best blackmail option for controlling criminal prosecutions going forward.

In the coming months, you can bet Alinsky Tactic #8 will be in full swing. “Keep the pressure on” will be the directive to the leftist-entrenched media, educational systems, Hollywood, social media, government and corporate America from now through November 3. They will be throwing everything they’ve got at Trump and we’d better be ready for it. Whatever our personal feelings about our President may be, we must come together in this final effort to save America.

When Trump targets Biden for his illegal activity in Ukraine, we must stand 100% united with him. And, we must not let up.

This is not the time for apathy. Nor is it a moment for indecision. We truly are in a place in history where our very freedoms could be lost forever. This is war and we must win it by any means necessary.

There is only one option to save our country. If we lose in November, we will not get a second chance. Vote 2020: Trump or Socialism!

Russia Wants Trump Over Sanders? No. Putin Wants Something Else

Rod Thomson

So now we’re back to Russia is going to interfere in the election to help Trump? Or perhaps it never really left us? Democrats just refuse to let this trope go.

And only one person can truly be smiling over this: Russian President Vladimir Putin.

But there’s a gigantic flaw in the latest whip-up. Does anyone really think Putin wants Trump instead of Bernie Sanders? Anyone?

Trump has completely blocked Putin’s expansionist ambitions after Russian ran wild under Obama in Crimea, Ukraine and Syria, and undermined their oil economy with the success of fracking and natural gas. Meanwhile, Sanders is an unrepentant Communist (as is Putin) because he has never, ever disavowed his fawning support for the Soviet Union, Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela and holds to their underlying socialist principles. And for good measure, he wants to ban all fracking, which would be a huge benefit for Russia.

Here’s a guess what’s going on — but a guess that is completely plausible and in line with facts and history: Russia and the old Soviet Union have long interfered in American elections, and we know from the opened Soviet-era archives that the top goal was not always who won, but was to sow distrust in elections and discord among the American people.

I think we can agree they accomplished that goal in spades in 2016 with their useful idiots (an old Soviet term from the Lenin-Stalin era for Western leftist sympathisers, like Sanders) in the media and Democratic party.

And so now, if the goal is to sow distrust and discord, as an old Soviet KGB guy like Putin would want to do, then the best way to accomplish that after learning from the successes of 2016, would be make sure that American intelligence was aware that Russia was going to try to help Trump “again.” It would have to get out. The Russians may even try to plant the idea that Trump administration officials are working with them to further stir the pot of distrust from American to American.

This works on so many levels because the media and Democrats will run with it like foxes with their tails on fire and after 2020. They’ll spread it and spread it until the country is aflame again. And we will have four more years of investigations and accusations and “leaks” to the New York Times.

The only real problem is that no sane people — so we all know who that is ruling out — believes that Putin actually wants the guy that has armed his enemies in Ukraine and killed his troops in Syria to win in November. That would be Donald Trump, for those of you who only read the mainstream media. Putin would much rather have the full-on anti-American Communist sympathizer Bernie Sanders.

Of course all this is useful in setting the stage for impeachment and investigations if Trump wins re-election, which the odds are at this point that he will. Ironically, the same people who have worked to undo the 2016 election for more than three years and will do so again, managed to claim in the same breath that Trump is the one who is an existential threat to democracy.

Never-Ever-Trumper Unknowingly Explains Impeachment Is Over Weak Democrat Field

Rod Thomson

It makes so much more sense now. When Never-Ever-Ever Trumper, gay liberal Andrew Sullivan, thinks no one in the current Democrat field can beat President Trump in 2020, it’s easier to understand the impeachment furor over a phone call and the raw, unmasked media partisanship.

Sullivan’s New York Magazine take, which I largely agree with in the analysis, summarized:

• Biden has real strength in the Democratic Party, but his candidacy in a general election is “crippled.” Biden’s crowd size and enthusiasm levels are “anemic” and he looks “confused, addled, over-briefed, and clearly past his expiration date.” Agree. Plus he would have a corruption factor that would mitigate the made-up stuff on Trump.

• Elizabeth Warren is “unelectable” in November 2020. “She’s a supercilious, smug, know-it-all Massachusetts liberal who reveals contempt for the deplorables the way Clinton did last time. The ‘first woman of color’ to get hired as a professor at Harvard Law School is the stuff that GOP dreams are made of.” Further, Warren said on CNN townhall, that in her administration, her Secretary of Education essentially “would have to be approved by a transgender 9-year-old boy, she’s placing herself firmly inside a cultural revolution most Americans are deeply uncomfortable with.” Agree. She is way outside the mainstream, plus she’s not genuine — a sharp contrast to Trump.

• Bernie Sanders had a heart attack at 78. Democrats will not trust that he won’t again on the campaign trail. Plus, and this is no small thing in the general election, “he’s also an actual socialist, and he hasn’t entertained — let alone engaged with — a new idea in decades. That’s appealing to millennial Marxists who have no memory of the 1970s, but Jeremy Corbyn was also a superstar with the youngsters a while back.” Agree. He’ll fade.

• Kamala Harris is just unlikable for most Americans. “Harris has revealed herself as a feckless, authoritarian, lying opportunist who treats the Constitution as cavalierly as Trump, but without his excuse of total ignorance.” I continually fail to see where Trump has trampled on the Constitution, or even pushed it in any ways that previous presidents have not also — without a peep. It’s just said all the time. But on the analysis, agree.

• Corey Booker is laughable. He has no connection with even Democrat voters, let alone the rest of America. “…he comes off as an earnest cyborg from outer space.” Agree. Like Warren and Harris, he’s a “what do you want me to say” candidate trolling for votes.

• Beto is despicable. Sullivan agrees. “O’Rourke is a woke, moronic bigot, who believes we live in a white-supremacist country, and would happily remove tax exemptions from most traditional churches, synagogues, and mosques, because they still believe in the literal teachings of the Bible or the Koran. Of all the candidates, he’s the only one I actively loathe.” Well what can be added to that? Agree.

• Andrew Yang and Pete Buttigieg are fresh, coherent, thoughtful — according to Sullivan — but Yang has zero chance and Buttigieg not much more. Neither would appear to have broad support in the country. Agree on the second part. The first, regarding Buttigieg, not at all.

And just because Sullivan’s writing is just so superb, and his analysis is spot-on from the TDS swamps, I’ll include his ending:

“Don’t get me wrong. I’ll vote for anyone, including Warren or Sanders or even the vacuous Beto to defeat Trump. We proud human scum will not be distracted from the central task at hand. But let’s be honest: This is a field that has largely wilted upon inspection. For what it’s worth, I suspect Warren will win the nomination and dutifully lose the election just like Mondale, Dukakis, Gore, Kerry, and the second Clinton. She has that quintessential perfume of smug, well-meaning, mediocre doom that Democrats simply cannot resist.”

Of course, he lays out a lot more problems with Warren than that conclusion. But when someone as insightful and desperate to defeat Trump is this gloomy on the Democrat options, you can bet that Democrat strategists are also, along with members of Congress.

Hence, they can’t wait 12 months for the American people to weigh in with actual democracy — which they laughably claim is under assault. Impeachment must happen, and it must be now. And the goal of impeachment is to either remove Trump or try to damage him to the degree that one of these bums could win. The authoritarian impulse Sullivan rightly identifies in Warren and Beto is endemic to the Democratic Party.

Democrats Trump Truth

“Hi, I’m a Democrat and I’m an impeachoholic.”

Democrats’ impeachoholism is out in the open. It’s a disease that needs to be treated. But they refuse to admit the addiction — which is a problem because it is deadly to democracy.

We have a nearly three-year history of the American left being operatively anti-democratic. The latest hit of impeachment over the Ukraine phone call is really just one more piece in a continuing string of evidence that they refuse to accept the results of the 2016 election. And that is, indeed, anti-democracy.

Remember, for at least a year after the election, Democrats were proudly using the #NotMyPresident hashtag. It festooned bumper stickers and protest placards. It trended on social media. That is pretty boldly anti-democracy election results. They really weren’t hiding the ball.

And it wasn’t just the base and rank and file. It went up to the national leadership level. There were 66 Democrat members of Congress who boycotted Trump’s inauguration. 66!

Before Donald Trump was even inaugurated there were Democrats in Congress — not on Reddit, but members of Congress — along with Democrats in the media who were calling for a hit of impeachment. He was an illegitimate president. The million Democrat women march was the day after his inauguration. #NotMyPresident. This is all a pretty strong prima facie case that they were acting against democracy.

But in operation, the refusal to accept a duly elected President of the United States has continued unabated since then.

For more than two years, increasing numbers of Congress were calling for a hit of impeachment because of fictional Trump-Russia collusion, until that totally fell apart with the Mueller report earlier this year. There never was any Trump-Russia collusion. Democrats and the media dragged the nation through more than two years of division, angst, threats and dire warnings over something that never happened.

Democrats found themselves strung out without an impeachment hit available. They tried racism, but it just didn’t do it. Withdrawal was setting in.

One week ago, just one week ago, the media and Democrats found a hit of the impeachment drug after another partisan hit job masquerading as “journalism” against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Another vacuous charge of sexual escapades when he was in college — except the woman who was the supposed victim does remember it ever happening and won’t talk.

Because like the other charges against Kavanaugh, it never happened. Kavanaugh was just a leverage point against Trump, a non-human caricature to be ruined along with his family to try to take down the elected president. When you consider what his wife and daughters have been put through by really terrible people, it makes the blood boil.

Now comes Ukraine. Trump made a president-to-president phone call to the newly elected President of the Ukraine this summer to congratulate him and take his measure. Routine. But a so-called “whistleblower” claims that Trump threatened to withhold military aid to Ukraine unless that country re-opened an investigation into Vice President Joe Biden. Biden is recorded regaling some folks of his threat to not release U.S. aid to Ukraine unless that country’s leaders fired the prosecutor investigating a company his son was involved with.

So Democrats saw a loaded syringe of impeachment and recklessly jabbed it in Tuesday, pursuing Trump over an alleged action they did not know the details of, but which if true is almost the exact same thing as Biden did to the same country. Astonishing! (As an aside, this impeachment hit is fatal to Biden’s presidential run, for obvious reasons. Might not be today or tomorrow, but it is over.)

Democrats demanded that Trump release the transcript of the Ukrainian call. Trump, who had the transcript, said OK and released it. Reading through the transcript, you have to really twist things to get the suggestion of a quid — but no quid pro quo. In fact, the Ukrainian president brought up both military aid and corruption and seemed eager to both ingratiate himself to Trump and to go after corrupt prosecution or lack of prosecution in his own country.

So now Democrats say we want the full whistleblower report. You see, if the transcript doesn’t show anything obviously incriminating, then maybe the whistleblower — who the Inspector General called partisan — said something they can use. Anything to keep the impeachment drug flowing through the system. But Trump said OK to releasing that as well. Sure doesn’t look like Trump is trying to hide anything.

Democrats are desperately trying to remove an elected president by non-democratic means — only one year before another election.

Ukraine is just another in the long string of evidence that the Democrats and their media allies refuse to accept the results of 2016. There is a preponderance of factual evidence that paints a picture that is coming into blindingly clear focus.

There are few larger threats to a democratic republic than when one of the two major parties develops an impeachment addiction because it won’t accept the results of an election. To save our democracy, Democrats need to enter a 12-step program. The first step is to admit to the problem: “Hi, I’m a Democrat and I’m an impeachoholic.”

Why My Democrat Acquaintance May Change Parties

Rod Thomson

I was talking to an acquaintance yesterday who is a lifelong Democrat. He’s having real problems with the Democratic Party. It sounds more and more foreign to the party he’s always been a part of. I told him there is an alternative party and smiled.

He actually was open to the idea when he never, ever thought he would be. I was truly surprised. He’s clearly not a Trump fan, but the Democrats are not sounding like his party anymore and he thinks the Trump hysteria is overblown. I don’t know how widespread this is, but looking at the debate last night, possibly more than is realized — and more than will be captured in polls where people supporting Trump are not as likely to admit it as others.

Last night’s debate gives us insights as to why my acquaintance is considering what, for him, is a pretty drastic step.

Joe Biden, the frontrunner, is more than a gaffe machine, as everyone says. His mental capacities are waning as is his stamina. So at one point he said he wants social workers to come into your home to help you raise your kids, and turn on the radio, um, TV, um no, phones, no, listen to record players, “to hear words.” Literally play records and hear words. What the what? Nobody could figure what he was bungling towards. Research shows that when parents read to their kids and listen to classical music, the kids do better in school. Is that what Biden was trying to say? Unclear.

If so, that was badly mangled, and that is a constant. He keeps calling Bernie Sanders the President. He wants you to dial Joe 0101.com or something. He really doesn’t know. Actually, the list is long and expanding daily. It is clear that his mental capacities, never his strength, are diminishing. If you are a Democrat, you’d have to be very worried about him as your standard-bearer a year from now. If you are just an American, you’d be even more fearful of him as President.

My acquaintance cringes at Trump, agrees with some policies and really not some policies, but he agrees with fewer of Biden’s as the candidate moves leftward. Can he even trust that Biden will be capable to hold the office in January 2021?

More from the debate.

Elizabeth Warren wants to spend more and more of your money every debate. (Now it’s a $200 increase for Social Security beneficiaries.) This is just brazen vote-buying with your tax dollars. Her budget-busting Medicare For All plan is one signature move (along with free college and so many more giveaways of your money) but she refuses to answer the question on how she will pay for it except to wave the magic wand of rich people. Not enough, and she knows it and the media knows it. So even the Democrat media moderators pushed her on whether middle class taxes will go up. She refused to answer for the umpteenth time. They will. A lot. She is a tax and spend and tax more and spend more candidate. My friend is looking for fiscal responsibility, but getting the opposite in his party.

Bernie Sanders is like Warren, spending more and more of your money, but he’s a true believer somewhere between Socialist and Communist. (He’s also never had a real job except politics, but he did honeymoon in the Soviet Union — literally praising its glories. That sort of thing does not sit well with Democrats like my acquaintance.) He admits straight up that he will raise middle class taxes. Even with tax hikes, these programs will not be sustainable. He would be a wreck.

Beto O’Rourke wants to confiscate AR-15s and all the rest, and the crowd cheered wildly when he said it. Just the stupid Constitution written by white males stands in his way. He, along with others, say that we literally have a “white supremacist” in the White House. This line is akin to everyone to the right of center is a Nazi. It’s old, it’s a lie, and fewer and fewer outside the Democratic base and anti-Trump hysterics are buying it — even more so when Democrats wink and nod at actual, outright anti-semites and terrorist sympathizers in their party in Congress. My acquaintance is not at all onboard with this.

Pope Pete Buttigieg lectures Christians that if you don’t agree with his politics, your a bad Christian or not a Christian. The Bible is pretty clear that Christians aren’t supposed to do that. But then, he does this from a position of being married to a man and supporting abortion up to the second of birth, so he may not actually know what’s in the Bible, which will not stop him from virtue lecturing us.

Kamala Harris, Corey Booker, Andrew Yang, Julian Castro and the pack are all in tune to some degree with radical, anti-liberty, giant spending programs that will drag the country downward. They are favoring de facto open borders. Their foreign policies will almost certainly allow for the creation of another Al-Qaeda (which happened under Democrat Bill Clinton) and ISIS (which happened under Democrat Barack Obama) while distancing ourselves from stalwart allies such as Israel. They will let China run rampant in Asia and steal our technologies and business, and maybe do another “restart” with Russia so Putin can take more land as he did under Obama but has not under Trump. More money may be sent to the Iranian Mullahs and they would cripple the U.S. with some version of the loony and disastrous Green New Deal.

The last, least insane candidate left is Sen. Amy Klobuchar from Minnesota, and even she says some pretty radical things (for the Democratic Party of 10 years ago.) She also has zero chance at being nominated. The media (major nominators) ignore her and the base probably wonders if she’s a secret Nazi white supremacist.

I understand my acquaintance’s misgivings. He’s far from alone. And it may matter a lot in 14 months.

Democrats’ Exploitive Use Of “Racism” Is Repressing Black Americans’

Rod Thomson

The Democratic Party has come to rely so heavily on the ubiquitous use of the word-weapon “racism” that not only has it lost all meaning for many Americans, but it’s abuse for decades has undoubtedly kept black Americans at the bottom of the culture and increasingly reliant on the government largesse.

It’s hard not to conclude that this is exactly what the Democratic Party desires. Not all rank-and-file Democrats, not by a long shot. But the politicians, pundits, operatives and media members using it daily against every Republican opponent has branded that party with a fabrication. As the El Paso shooter’s incoherent manifesto shows him to be a white nationalist and an enviro-terrorist, Democrats (and their media) have rushed to pour gasoline on that fire, because they have weaponized race relations, using American blacks as their political pawns.

The political effect is wondrous for Democrat politicians, who scare blacks biennially into voting for them at 90 percent or higher rates. This is universally unrivaled in any other racial, ethnic or gender group. The results for blacks, however, of this one-party devotion are seen quite clearly in Baltimore, Detroit, Chicago, Los Angeles, St. Louis, Flint, Oakland, Memphis, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Little Rock, Cleveland and the rest.

In a word: Disastrous.

It is ironic that the very reason that using the word-weapon “racism” is so effective is that Americans en masse recoil at the very idea of it. We are aware of our history, have desperately tried to move past it, and despise being called a racist even when we know it to be untrue. We are so not a racist country that being called a racist stings like few other insults. In a truly racist country, this would not be the case.

How do I know? Because it was never used during the ugly age of the Jim Crow South. When racism was blatant and obvious, when many whites accepted themselves as superior to blacks, the word “racism” was not used because it carried no clout. It would be akin to calling me white as an insult, or that I sleep at night as an insult. Right, that’s just the norm.

Joseph Epstein, who grew up in Arkansas during Jim Crow, wrote in the Wall Street Journal: “The word racism wasn’t much in vogue in that place, or anywhere else, at that time. The majority of people who could rightly be called racist would not know what you were talking about if you accused them of racism.”

Now it has power though because we are not a racist nation. Due to the efforts of people like Martin Luther King Jr., A. Philip Randolph, Bayard Rustin, James Farmer, Roy Wilkins Sr. and many others, legal and systemic racism with any support base outside of dreary 4-Chan chat rooms has long been eradicated. But what would Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and, now the entire Democratic establishment, do without it?

Broad swaths of talking points by Democratic presidential contenders, Democratic Congressional leaders, the Squad, and their endless braying allies in the media would simply vanish. They would have nothing to say. And they would have no way of locking up the black vote.

Epstein wrote: “The power of the word racism—always cocked, aimed and ready to fire—makes it impossible to say anything, outside the most obeisant praise, about black culture, black politicians, black entertainers or black anything. The entire subject is out of bounds to anyone who isn’t black, and many black intellectuals and writers are themselves in peril if they step outside the racial party line. This can’t be healthy, for blacks or for the country at large.”

Of course not. But it does get votes.

It’s ironic, again, but a sign of the ill-health of this strategy is that it now not just applies to every Republican and conservative, but to everyone to the “right” of whoever is saying it. That is how Sen. Kamala Harris can attack former Vice President Joe Biden as a racist (when Biden himself used it in more conventional fashion against Mitt Romney with “put ya’ll back in chains”) and the Squad can use it against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who also uses it relentlessly against Republicans. Talk about hoisted on your own petard!

For all the damage this continues to do, it could at least be given the veneer of a defense if indeed Democrat policies had been improving the lives of black Americans. But by virtually every measurement — education, crime, family structure, religion — their actual policies and cultural philosophies have made the majority of blacks worse off.

Again, just look at cities that have been governed by Democrats for decades. Look at Rep. Elijah Cummings’ Baltimore district, which for decades also has had a Democrat mayor and a Democrat city council. He uses the race card quite freely, but after nearly three decades in Washington calling his Republican opponents racists, how have blacks in his district faired? They live in rat-ravaged, high-crime, downward spiraling communities with families and church institutions in tatters.

Democratic policies have kept blacks seeing themselves as victims unable to rise in America, and the pervasive lie that America is racist against them doubles down on that victimhood. There is nothing that blacks can do because “America is racist!,” they are told over and over and over.

So vote Democrat.

The revolution for blacks will come when they stop seeing themselves as victims — which means they will need to listen to different voices than they have been listening to — and recognize they are fully equal with white people both under the law and in abilities. They will need to realize that they have real opportunities, they have real freedoms, and they have real responsibilities in conjunction with those freedoms.

Black Americans can become a fully thriving element of America, but not by doing what they have been doing the past 30 years. If there were any actually responsible Democratic leaders who cared about the welfare of American blacks, this is what they would be saying and doing.

I don’t hear any.

NYT Gives Democrats Marching Orders On El Paso Shooting

Rod Thomson

It is to be expected that Democrats will coldly attempt to score political points from the tragic shootings in Texas and Ohio. Integrity-free politicians will do anything to get elected or stay in office.

The combined shootings over the same weekend will predictably create a call for more gun laws that would do nothing to reduce violence or even gun violence in the United States, as is painfully clear in our ongoing lab testing between states and cities with strict gun laws and those with very few.

But the El Paso shooting will get most of the attention, because it combines the left’s loathing of guns with its reflexive use of the word-weapon “racism” all the time. El Paso is a springboard for blaming all Republicans for guns and blaming President Trump for creating a violent anti-immigrant atmosphere.

And inconveniently, the shooter in Ohio was a known supporter of Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren. His Twitter biography reads, “he/him / anime fan / metalhead / leftist / i’m going to hell and i’m not coming back.” And he supported strict guns laws! All of which means this will be forgotten as quickly as the shooter who shot up the Republican softball team and was a rabid Bernie Sanders supporter.

Ever the opportunist, Demcratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke jumped on this immediately on Face the Nation Sunday. “I’m saying that President Trump has a lot to do with what happened in El Paso yesterday,” he said. Trump “sows the kind of fear, the kind of reaction that we saw in El Paso yesterday.”

But the New York Times, which all leftists and Democrat political leaders read and take cues from, essentially wrote the party talking points for them, right from the “news analysis” lead:

At campaign rallies before last year’s midterm elections, President Trump repeatedly warned that America was under attack by immigrants heading for the border. “You look at what is marching up, that is an invasion!” he declared at one rally. “That is an invasion!”

Nine months later, a 21-year-old white man is accused of opening fire in a Walmart in El Paso, killing 20 people and injuring dozens more after writing a manifesto railing against immigration and announcing that “this attack is a response to the Hispanic invasion of Texas.”

There you go, Democrats. It’s spelled out with citations for you by your allies at the New York Times.

Talking Point: Trump used the word “invasion” and the shooter used the word “invasion.”

President Trump said Sunday after the shootings: “Hate has no place in our country, and we’re going to take care of it.” On Monday, he tweeted:

“We cannot let those killed in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, die in vain. Likewise for those so seriously wounded. We can never forget them, and those many who came before them. Republicans and Democrats must come together and get strong background checks, perhaps marrying…this legislation with desperately needed immigration reform. We must have something good, if not GREAT, come out of these two tragic events!”

But here’s how the New York Times summed it up for readers:

“Hate has no place in our country, and we’re going to take care of it,” the president said, declining to elaborate but promising to speak more on Monday morning. He made no mention of white supremacy or the El Paso manifesto, but instead focused on what he called “a mental illness problem.”

This is a beautiful example of why Trump needs Twitter and every Republican needs communications outlets that bypass the Democrat media establishment. Does anyone even doubt that in 2019, with zero culture of white supremacy, that anyone who believes in such garbage has mental issues? And just because President Obama would dive in with very few facts doesn’t mean Trump should.

Talking Point: Trump refuses to acknowledge his role in whipping up hate.

What’s really interesting is that in the shooter’s manifesto, he states clearly that his views on immigration “predate Trump,” because even a deranged mass murderer knows what the media and Democrats are going to do with his evil act.

The Times acknowledges the “predate Trump” statement but dismisses it. “But if Mr. Trump did not originally inspire the gunman, he has brought into the mainstream polarizing ideas and people once consigned to the fringes of American society.”

Perhaps the Times has forgotten, but immigration has been one of the most polarizing debates we’ve had for many years. The Times stopped covering it much — and nothing on kids in cages at the border — during President Obama’s eight years, but it turns out that reality still happens even if the Times does not report it. Illegal immigration has been divisive for decades and tens of millions of Americans’ frustration had reached a boiling point long before Trump. It’s part of what got him elected.

But here’s the summary, which you can expect to hear coming out of Democrats’ mouths.

“While other leaders have expressed concern about border security and the costs of illegal immigration, Mr. Trump has filled his public speeches and Twitter feed with sometimes false, fear-stoking language even as he welcomed to the White House a corps of hard-liners, demonizers and conspiracy theorists shunned by past presidents of both parties. Because of this, Mr. Trump is ill equipped to provide the kind of unifying, healing force that other presidents projected in times of national tragedy.”

The Times conveniently forgets how President Obama stoked racial animus after Ferguson, after Baltimore and after Trayvon Martin. Trump may be ill-equipped, but Obama proved repeatedly he was. The Times is silent on that point, because the actual point of their coverage is to set the stage for Democrats to attack Trump and all Republicans.

But this: “he welcomed to the White House a corps of hard-liners, demonizers and conspiracy theorists shunned by past presidents of both parties.” The Times does not name these people, nor point out the haters previous presidents have invited because of political alliances. But it’s a politically useful salvo.

Talking Point: Trump has even invited racist anti-immigration hard-liners to the White House.

El Paso Mayor Dee Margo got it right when, after CNN’s Jake Tapper repeatedly tried to get him to link the shooting with Trump’s language: “I’m focusing on El Paso. There’s evil in this world and it’s unfortunate.”

Don’t expect to get that reality check from the Democrats or their media.

Mueller Upshot: Legal Rights Denied To Trump Family

Rod Thomson

Today’s hearings revealed again how two bedrock American legal principles have been terribly abused in the Mueller investigation’s final report on Russian election interference. The first principle is innocent until proven guilty, known in the legal profession as the presumption of innocence.

After being essentially cleared in the first half of the report on colluding with Russia (Democrats won’t let go of the dead horse, but Mueller did) the special counsel jumped tracks in the second half and took away Trump’s presumption of innocence.

Prosecutor Mueller and his team laid out in 200-plus pages of detailed evidence the supposed obstruction of justice. Yet Mueller declined to recommend charges, but then made the shockingly unprofessional statement that he could not “exonerate” Trump, and that if he could he would. That was just prosecutorial malfeasance of a very high order, and certainly gives the appearance of a political setup for Democrats to launch impeachment.

Now, some of you will say, but he’s the president! It’s different! That brings me to the second bedrock American legal principle under assault: equality under the law.

If everyone is equal under the law, which I should hope everyone on the left and right agrees with, then why is this President and his family members not presumed innocent? Why is this President and his family members left with the pall of “not exonerated” when in every other single instance of American prosecution, it is simply and rightly “not sufficient evidence” for prosecution?

If your answer is, he’s the president! Or, this is too important! Then you don’t believe everyone is equal under the law. You believe Trump and his family are *less* equal under the law.

Remember, in this special counsel arrangement (I still contend a bad law), there is no other side presented. This is just a prosecutor’s report. In a normal courtroom, a full defense team would be breaking down the prosecution’s case and, very importantly, would be cross-examining witnesses. None of that has happened or is allowed to happen.

But Trump did obstruct justice, you may say, because Mueller couldn’t exonerate him! As previously noted, a prosecutor does not have the authority in the American legal system to “exonerate” anyone specifically because everyone is presumed innocent until *proven* guilty.

But further, Mueller admitted during his testimony that he had not been in any way obstructed. Congressman John Ratcliffe asked Mueller whether his investigation been curtailed, stopped, or hindered at any point. Mueller answered, “No.” Not even hindered? So, there was no obstruction.

Ratcliff also asked Mueller on my main point: “Can you give me an example other than Donald Trump where the Justice Department determined that an investigated person was not exonerated because their innocence was not conclusively determined?”

Mueller’s bone-chilling answer: “I cannot, but this is a unique situation.”

No, it’s not if we’re all equal under the law. Trump has not been provided a presumption of innocence, nor has he had his “day in court” to go after the prosecutors and cross-examine their witnesses, which means he has not been treated equally under the law. I realize this means nothing to the Trump-haters. But it should matter to regular Americans.

As bad as foreign interference is in our elections (and Russia alone has been doing it since the 1930s, and aggressively since the 1950s) undermining our own jurisprudence for political gain is worse.

In the realm of stating what is un-American, that could hardly fit better.

Democrats’ Long, Sordid History Of Falsely Charging Racism Explains Today’s Big Shrug

Rod Thomson

If you want to understand why Republicans and Trump supporters shrug off every accusation of racism against the president and the GOP, all you have to do is realize the long, sordid, vacuous history of Democrats calling the right racist over every major policy disagreement of the past 40 years.

From Ronald Reagan to George H.W. Bush, Newt Gingrich, George W. Bush, John McCain, Mitt Romney, Donald Trump, the Tea Party, the NRA and Republicans everywhere, Democrats have played the race card to tattered, unrecognizable bits. They have all but destroyed the ability to even have a constructive conversation about race.

But in the process, they and their media allies have inoculated most all Republicans from the charge of racism. We all just brush it aside.

But for some even on the right, we forget the smothering extent to which Democrats have constantly used this trope for personal, short-term political gain. And most on the left will never, ever be exposed to the following list — which self-explains why Republicans give no heed to the accusation anymore. (So, dear reader, share it with your Democratic friends, with anyone!)

We really don’t need to go back to the history of Democrats being the party of slavery through Jim Crow, and opposing the Civil Rights Act in higher percentages than Republicans, although those are all true. Let’s just launch into the list starting in the 1980s to see just how bad the Democrats have been — even while pursuing policies that have demonstrably harmed black, brown and poor people.

President Ronald Reagan — Racist

Reagan was tarred as a racist on two primary counts. One was his reference to the Chicago “welfare queen” he used in his speeches to make the case for welfare reform. But as both the Washington Post and the New York Times documented, Linda Taylor was indeed that, with a Cadillac limousine and a plethora of luxuries that she obtained through welfare fraud — which was rampant in the 80s.

Reagan’s launch of the “war on drugs” was also considered racist because black people distributed drugs and partook of drugs at a higher rate than white people. They were also harmed by drugs at a higher percentage, but that would not fit the narrative. Therefore it was really a war on black people. President Bill Clinton expanded that war and Sen. Joe Biden was a leader in the Senate of expanding the criminal penalties. While Reagan was called racist for his launching of the war, Clinton and Biden (at the time, anyway) were not racist for expanding it. See how it works?

This lie continues to this day.

Richard Cohen, a partisan Democrat masquerading as a newspaper columnist, wrote recently at the Washington Post: “Republicans must acknowledge: The party has been taken over by a racist. The Trump of the weekend’s tweet binge was the culmination of a racist electoral strategy going back to Richard Nixon’s “Southern strategy” and Ronald Reagan’s aw-shucks indifference to civil rights.”

It’s not true, but it works in the category of a lie told often enough becomes the truth.

President George H.W. Bush — Racist

H.W. Bush was called racist for running the “infamous” Willie Horton ad in his 1988 campaign for president.

“Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Los Angeles) Wednesday branded President Bush ‘a racist’ who has ‘polarized the races in this country,’” the Los Angeles Times reported in 1992. Some things never change.

The New Yorker magazine wrote a typical summation of the elder Bush:

“In the 1988 Presidential race, when he defeated Michael Dukakis, his campaign, under the direction of Lee Atwater, pioneered many of the slash-and-burn tactics that disfigure modern elections. (The racist Willie Horton ad was but one of many misleading attacks that the Bush campaign launched.)”

Crime was at its highest rate in American history in 1988 and Massachusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis was running a campaign of competent manager against Bush. But Dukakis had instituted a prison furlough program allowing dangerous criminals to get weekends out of prison. It was a disastrous program and his fellow Democrat in the primary, Al Gore, was the first to attack him on it.

But when the Bush campaign did so, using the picture of Willie Horton (not the great Detroit Tigers’ left fielder) who raped and murdered a woman while out on furlough, it was immediately labeled racist — and is to this day, according to Democrats and media, who are one and the same.

It’s worth remembering that Democrats now patronizingly hold up H.W. Bush as the very paragon of the decent Republican — because it is convenient to rewrite their history in order to make their attacks on Trump more believable.

House Speaker Newt Gingrich — Racist

Gingrich’s promise to voters, and efforts to keep those promises after Republicans won the House in 1994, turned out to be racist. The specific proposals that were racist were cutting taxes, pursuing welfare reform and pushing back the racial preference system Democrats had put in place. He and the GOP were branded the party of racists.

The New York Times attacked Gingrich for his “race-based, anger-charged politics” while comparing him to the infamous southern segregationist George Wallace — another trope that would become common fare for Democrats. New York Democratic congressman Charles Rangel attacked Republican tax cuts as pure race hatred. “It’s not ‘spic’ or ‘ni**er’ anymore,” Rangel growled

Here’s a little roundup from City Journal on the overall reaction (note: the “worse than Hitler” bit):

“…attacks reached a fever pitch after Republicans won the House of Representatives in 1994. “What [conservative Republicans] want to do,” President Clinton said, “is make war on the kids of this country.” On NBC’s Today Show, to take another example, left-leaning host Bryant Gumbel asked liberal children’s advocate Marian Wright Edelman a classic leading question: “In light of the new welfare-reform bill, do you think the children need more prayers than ever before?” Former Democratic New York governor Mario Cuomo evoked the image of “Republican storm-troopers.” Another New York Democrat, Congressman Major Owens, went further: “These are the people,” he thundered, “who are practicing genocide with a smile: they’re worse than Hitler.”

Worse than Hitler. That was in the 1990s.

Now of course, the principles of limited government, tax cuts, minimal welfare tied to responsible actions and deregulation are standard conservative fare, and not rationally tied in any way to Nazism, Hitler or the Holocaust. But see how the exact same cards are played over and over.

President George W. Bush — Racist

W. Bush was a racist because of the allegedly slow response of the Federal Emergency Management Agency to Hurricane Katrina’s devastation in New Orleans, a majority black city. Of course, it couldn’t possibly be that the gears of the gigantic federal bureaucracy grind slowly and incompetently and that New Orleans’ well-known corruption and mismanagement left the city in terrible shape. No, it was Bush secretly slowing everything down specifically so more black people would die.

Bush wanted Congress to provide more money for border security as more than four million illegal immigrants came to the U.S. between 2000-2005 — the highest five-year period in our history. He committed 6,000 National Guard troops to the border to strengthen security.

But Bush also pushed for the Comprehensive Immigration Reform which included elements awfully close to full amnesty and was opposed by the vast majority of Republicans for legalizing millions of people who came here illegally. The conversative position is that the rule of law matters. Getting in line matters. Knowing who is in our country matters. But GOP opposition, which eventually killed the bill, was labeled racist by Democrats.

Here’s the left-leaning Brookings Institute’s take on opposition to immigration reform by Republicans. This was to the 2013 “reform,” but it mirrors 2007:

“It’s because House Republicans aren’t motivated by true conservatism. Rather, they represent constituencies haunted by anxiety associated with the perception that they’re “losing their country” to immigrants from south of the border. The Republican Party is 89 percent white, and 97 percent of Republican House districts in the 113th Congress have white majorities.”

Many Republicans were well into yawning at the charges of racism by this point. But so much more came before Trump entered the stage.

Sen. John McCain — Racist

It’s interesting how beloved McCain is today by Democrats and the media. Well he wasn’t while running for President in 2008. He was…a racist! (Among the other now-common range of name-calling.)

The New York Times accused McCain of “racially tinged attacks.”

The Hill reminded us at the time of McCain’s death that, “In August 2008, the New York Times editorial page described an official McCain ad as ‘racially tinged’ because it included a photo of Obama juxtaposed with Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. The message the campaign was sending: Obama, with little experience and media adulation, was much more sizzle than steak, a paparazzi-obsessed celebrity.”

Then, liberal journalist Ezra Klein accused McCain of “running crypto-racist ads.” NPR journalist Bill Press called McCain’s ads “deliberately and deceptively racist.” Don Lemon, now a CNN anchor, charged that the McCain campaign was “creating a political environment that is inciting hate and hate speech.”

Rep. John Lewis said McCain was “sowing the seeds of hatred and division” and said McCain’s rhetoric harkened back to segregationist George Wallace. Another Wallace comparison.  Of McCain!

For good measure, Teen Vogue magazine called McCain “patently Islamaphobic” because of the threats he saw in Syrian of Islamic extremism — which ended up being right about.

So it’s worth remembering that the now beloved McCain, because before his death he hated Trump and opposed GOP conservatives, was called a racist by Democrats and their media when he was running for president as a Republican.

Gov. Mitt Romney — Racist

And then we have Romney, one of the nicest and most decent men ever to run for president, if a bit of a squish on actual conservative values and pretty unpopular now among Republicans.

The by-now very familiar refrain of the Democrats and their media was trotted out on schedule to label Romney a racist for wanting to repeal the financial regulation commonly referred to as Dodd-Frank — which has hamstrung community banks and startups and made the too big to fail even bigger.

It was none other than Vice President Joe Biden who told a heavily black audience in 2012 that Romney’s efforts were designed to “put y’all back in chains.” (Of course, this is why it’s such delicious justice that Biden gets attacked by Sen. Kamala Harris for being a racist.)

Romney pushed back after the comment by Biden, saying “this is what an angry and desperate presidency looks like.” Well naturally, that was racist!

U.S. News and World Report wrote at the time of Romney using the word “anger” twice, twice!

“You notice he said anger twice; he’s really trying to use racial coding and access some really deep stereotypes about the angry black man,” said Toure, an African-American co-host on MSNBC’s The Cycle, on Thursday. “This is part of the playbook against Obama, the ‘otherization,’ he’s not like us,” he continued. “I know it’s a heavy thing, I don’t say it lightly, but this is ‘niggerization.’ You are not one of us, you are like the scary black man who we’ve been trained to fear.”

Zerlina Maxwell, a Democratic strategist, said at the time that the Romney campaign was using race against Obama. “When you are ‘other-izing’ the first black president and saying he’s not one of us, you’re talking to a very specific segment of your base. But the danger is independents don’t like that. So he’s walking a fine line.”

Note the “other-izing” and racism had become a Democrat talking point against Romney when it was Biden who launched the race-baiting, and also that the natural state of Republicans is racist, but appealing to that could turn off independents. Now, predictably as we have seen, when Romney became a critic of Trump, all was forgotten by the media and Democrats and he was one of the good guys. Like McCain and even Bush.

All The Rest Of Us — Racists

Of course, it’s not just Republican presidents and presidential candidates. Democrat Rep. Hank Johnson said the NRA was racist for opposing Obama’s gun control proposals. Democrat Rep. Charlie Rangel, again, claimed the Tea Party was racist (it was literally founded on the huge bailouts and stimulus spending, wanting fiscal restraint and lower taxes. But that was racist.) Jesse Jackson stated that the Tea Party “should be called the “Fort Sumter Tea Party that sought to maintain states’ rights and slavery.”

When Republicans want borders that are secure, and people only coming legally, they are always portrayed by Democrats and the media as racist. Democrat Phil Ramos (D-NY), says that the word “illegal” is itself racist, a line that has since been picked up by others.

But when Sen. Obama, in 2005, said he opposed “undetected, undocumented, unchecked” immigration, there was nary a peep from the media and Democrats. Here’s Obama’s quote from that press conference:

“We all agree on the need to better secure the border and to punish employers who choose to hire illegal immigrants. We are a generous and welcoming people, here in the United States, but those who enter the country illegally, and those who employ them, disrespect the rule of law and they are showing disregard for those who are following the law. We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States, undetected, undocumented, unchecked and circumventing the line of people who are waiting patiently, diligently and lawfully to become immigrants in this country.”

That sounds like not just the Republican position, but President Trump’s position. And in fact, it was said at a bi-partisan press conference made up of both Democrats and Republicans. But now that position is racist (well, if a Republican holds it.)

So when Donald Trump comes along, and the same old people — Democrats and the media — cry out that he is racist, Republicans basically yawn. It’s like they never read the story of the boy who cried wolf, or if they did their take away was something about white privilege or environmental destruction by meat-eaters.

We’re all just immune to the charge of racism.

Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham just puts it plainly in a recent tweet: “Something I have learned: If you are a Republican nominee for President — or President — you will be accused of being a racist.”

Yes, and this list makes that plain to see. But now it also extends to anyone who supports a Republican or Trump.
